In union with Christians everywhere who share bread and wine in your memory, O Christ, and remembering especially my home congregation, I praise you and give you thanks for creation and all the blessings of this life, and for the redemption won me by your life, death, and resurrection. Since I cannot at this time receive communion, I pray you to come into my heart, Lord Jesus, in the fullness of your strength; be my wisdom and my guide; and conform my life and actions to your example. Let nothing separate me from you; let me serve you in this life until, by your grace, I come to your glorious kingdom and unending peace.
