The approved plan appears below.

At a meeting on November 17, the Board of Community Christian Church approved the following four-point plan.

Community Christian Church will reopen the sanctuary for in-person worship on Christmas Eve (unless Dallas County raises its Covid Threat Level to red).

1. To decrease the risk from the lingering Covid-19 pandemic we will:

  • practice social distancing while in the Sanctuary or Fellowship Hall;

  • wear face coverings while in the Sanctuary or Fellowship Hall;

  • refrain from congregational singing and the cup at communion until Dallas County changes guidance about aerosol;

  • visit after worship in narthex with doors open (weather permitting);

  • close the office while staff work at home;

  • encourage members, friends, and visitors to worship online if they are not yet vaccinated unless they have had a negative Covid-19 test within 48 hours of worship.

2. We will return to online-only worship for two weeks if an in-person worshiper reports a positive Covid-19 test.

3. We will return to online-only worship when the Dallas County Covid Threat Level is red and/or if the CDC changes

 Recommendations for Fully Vaccinated People or Considerations for Communities of Faith.

4. When the Dallas County Covid Threat Level drops to yellow, the executive committee will meet to reassess Covid protocols.
